Hawthorn Charcoal 4kg bag

Hawthorn is a particularly popular tree with small nesting birds.  Its dense, thorny foliage provides safe haven for nests and hatchlings as well as winter food when its berries are ripe in the coldest months.  In spring, it covers itself in a cloud of white blossom with heady floral  fragrance to let us now that summer is just around the corner.

As a charcoal it is dense and long burning with similar flavours to apple wood.  We don’t get much of this wood, but when its here it’s definitely worth grabbing a bag before its gone.
